Córdoba - Summer Trout

The fishing of trout in summer is very particular and is very conditioned by the current rainfall regime. If a dry summer occurs, high temperatures and low river flow make a bad combination for trout. This greatly influences their behavior and also their physical state. At the other extreme, if the summer is rainy, there are strong and sudden growths that compromise fishing days and can become dangerous for fishermen.

But it is also true that this time can provide fishing days very entertaining especially with dry flies, trying to make the most of the first and last hours of the day, dodging the strip of greater heat. Both for our welfare and for the trout.

This summer in particular came with a lot of rain, the rivers are high which helps the trout's survival but it forces us to be attentive and to check practically every day the situation of the same. And so it was that taking advantage of a window of days without precipitation we went out to walk and relieve the fishing, finding trout in very good condition and combative. This current situation augurs us a very good end of season with rivers and trout in good condition, preparing for the spawning season.
