The Tucunaré Tour 2018 took us to a new adventure in the Amazon Jungle to fish the Tucuna River Juma. The high level of water and the high temperature of it forced us to try and change the fishing strategy in search of better results.
Looking for fresher and more oxygenated waters, the Tucunares were positioned in deeper areas. And because of that, the best results were obtained by deepening our flies or using half-water lures.
The use of weighted flies or sinking lines is not very related to the fishing of this species, but in this case they were necessary to achieve better results. Which reminds us that it is always good to be prepared for all situations. A week of incredible fishing in the midst of a unique environment, made this an extraordinary experience shared with an excellent group of people and fishermen.
