Years ago it was inconceivable that people living in the Zapata reservoir, a biosphere reserve recognized by UNESCO in western Cuba, would stop using the forest to make charcoal, extract precious wood or hunt crocodiles and deer. The San Lázaro channel was one of the channels used to take the coal from the island to the sea, just as you will travel to your yacht on board for your accommodation during your fishing week.
The stay is aboard the Georgiana, this way you will have plenty of time and the best time to fish the tides, which are the key to a good salt water trip. As there is no need to leave the area of the flats and you stay in them during the week, you can choose your options on the species you want to fish. For example; Wait for an incoming tide, which is excellent to wait for the bonefish to enter the flats.
With the method of rotation of zones and skiff that we implement here, you will fish 3 days in "Single" and 3 in "Double". With this we guarantee you access to the best fishing areas. The Skiff Single has a flat bottom with which you enter lower flats and the best areas for Bonefish and Permit. While with the Double Skiff you will catch the best waters for Tarpon and you will be able to travel in deeper and more distant waters of the yacht.
